  8th Annual ACE Fall Fundraiser

The 8th Annual (GPSGA)/The First Tee of Philadelphia Golf Tournament, was held on August 17, 2010 and hosted at the beautiful ACE club. The full field of 26 teams enjoyed beautiful weather as well as excellent course conditions. TFT Philadelphia thanks everyone who supported the event and especially our Platinum Sponsor: Guy Carpenter Company.

With a $20,000 ACE Group grant made possible thru the State Education Tax Credit Program, TFT Philadelphia will hire Science Educators to teach The Science of Golf.
  Area Youth Set Golf-A-Thon Record at Walnut L
On Saturday, April 10, 2010, Walnut Lane G.C. was the host of a Golf-A-Thon to raise money for The First Tee Philadelphia Learning Center. This 9 hour and 10 minute event raised $7450 and counting in pledges and donations for the new First Tee facility, which is to be built this summer.

The ACE Classic, a Champions Tour was event held on February 20 to 22 at TPC Treviso Bay in Naples FL. Two of our TFT Philadelphia participants, Louis Kelly and Danny Gentilucci along with family members were flown down for the event.

  2008 Annual Holiday Putting contest
On Saturday December 6, we conducted the 5th Annual Holiday Putting contest at FDR Golf Course. The event was attended by 75-100 youth as well as their parents.
  Lookaway Golf Club Fundraiser
On October 1, 2008 the scene was the Lookaway Golf Club located in Buckingham, PA and the occasion was a golf tournament/fundraiser for the Greater Philadelphia Scholastic Golf Association (GPSGA) The First Tee Philadelphia (TFT/P) youth golf program.
  Middle Atlantic Blind Golfers at Walnut Lane
Middle Atlantic Blind Golf Association brought together volunteers, coaches and parents for blind or visually impaired children to play at The First Tee of Philadelphia's Walnut Lane Golf Club site.

  TFT Phila Goes to Overbrook School for Blind
TFT representatives, John MacDonald, Jack Hubbert, Greg Gaul, Jeff Middleton and Brian Clobes served as coaches (one on one) for kids playing the OSB golf course. The clinic lasted about 3 hours.  Jeff Middleton gave a talk to the kids and parents at lunch regarding the availability of the TFT program to visually impaired kids.
