Scholarships

The First Tee of Greater Philadelphia has many scholarship opportunities for participants in the Life Skills and Leadership program. As participants reach levels of certification, they are eligible to apply for scholarship opportunities. We hope that many participants from The First Tee of Greater Philadelphia will benefit from these programs.

Michael Magno was selected for The 2013 Life Skills and Leadership Academy in San Diego, California at San Diego State University from July 24th-July 30th.

Danny Gentilucci was selected to represent TFT Greater Philadelphia at The 2012 Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links on June 2nd.

Zakki Blatt was nominated and WON the 2012 Male RBS Achiever of the Year Award in San Francisco, California on June 14th-17th.

TFT Greater Philadelphia graduate Madison Gilmartin received the PGA Diversity Award and $40,000 toward the Professional Golf Management Program at Penn State University.

Pat McCann was selected for The 2012 Life Skills and Leadership Academy in Long Island, New York at Hofstra University on July 25th-July31st

Nate Graves was selected for the Hank Haney IJGA Training Program at Hilton Head, South Carolina June 3rd-9th, 2012.

Patrick Molloy was nominated and WON the 2011 Male RBS Achiever of the Year Award in Washington, D.C. on June 14th-17th.

Caitlin DiMarco is nominated for the seventh-annual 2010 RBS Achievers of the Year Awards for TFT Greater Philadelphia.

Fifteen year-old Nate Graves, was a TFT Greater Philadelphia student selected to represent our chapter at the Life Skills /Leadership Academy at Kansas State University.

Louis Kelly Named as Courier Post Golfer of the Year.

Ian Bellah was selected as an ACE certified participant in The First Tee network.

Marc Thompson selected for application for 2009 RBS Achievers Award.

At the Future Leaders Forum, students will learn first-hand from industry leaders about career opportunities in tournament operations, golf course management and entertainment – among others.

Meaghan Kane is The First Tee Scholar for 2008.

Marcus Branch and Marc Thompson were recognized by Senator Vincent Hughes as future legends during the 11th annual James Hughes Memorial Scholarship Fund weekend July 1, 2008 at Cobbs Creek G. C.

Joe DiDio is representing TFT Philadelphia for 2008 for the RBS Achievers Award.

Meaghan Kane, 16, and Marcus Branch, 15, of The First Tee of Philadelphia, attended The First Tee’s seventh annual Life Skills and Leadership Academy.

Matthew Bellah, a Birdie certified member of The First Tee of Philadelphia was selected as one of 12 semi-finalists for the 2005 RBS Achievers of the Year Award. He received a $1,000 scholarship.
